Let the hands do the work!

Creativity has never been my forte and I haven't done any handicrafts for at least the past decade. So after some influence from Dawn, I decided to try doing something special for Isaac on that special day.

I've been walking past this shop called Print where they sell pretty paper and fabric back writing materials, some craft accessories, etc but never once did I purchase anything in that shop. Firstly, I'd never thought of doing anything creative cos I wan't that romantic, artistic sort. Secondly, I'd rather spent my monies on clothes, shoes or anything other things that pamper myself.

It was then I came by Print again last week and decided to pop in. Seeing pretty things kicks up my adrenalin to spend. On the other hand, I haven't thought of what to buy for him, so why not doing something out of the pretty materials myself? >< I spent more than half an hour in that shop choosing, mixing and matching. Trust me, I've never stayed in a shop for more than like 15 mins unless I'm queuing up to get into the fitting room. But choosing something nice to get for your loved ones.... you know what I mean?

The most amazing part is I bothered to go to Bras Basah Complex to look for more craft accessories to complement the photo scrapbook I was doing. (I hadn't been there for like, since high school?) I was fascinated at the huge range of stationery and art materials that were available in that building. The worst part is I've got to climb the stairs to the upper levels in my high-heeled pumps! My feet were sore and wobbly by then I reached the fifth story. Can't image the lifts there doesn't serve every levels!

Okays, no more blabberings and here's a glimpse of the photo scrapbook I've done...

Nothing fantastic though but it's my virgin attempt! And I'm glad he appreciates it. (It's done in like within 5 hours??)

I shall start doing something like this more often. Though tiring, it's really FUN!
